Digitising the World

Working with Library imaging  department Cyreal digitised 30 of the British Libraries collection of globes  to make them accessible to the world for the first time.

The project was deemed  a huge success as the worldwide press coverage it created was exceptional,  academics from around the world have been able to study these exquisite objects in 3D.

By their very nature precision was essential, and in order to improve the accuracy Cyreal developed a new function as part of their their 3D capture rig. The system now includes an automated multi camera focus stacking technique.
